24hrs of rain! Move along like you don't get to!

Believe it or not, it has been raining here in S.V.G for a little more than 24hrs. The weather that we experience here is so extreme. It's either broiling sun or hours of non-stop rain. Whatever the weather you see we always complain. It's unfortunate to say that this rain has the potential to take lives. I don't know if you heard but a vehicle was buried under some dirt and debris that was loosened by the rain, in Prospect. If you live anywhere beyond Calliaqua or have traveled beyond that point recently you should be able to recall an enormous wall at a corner right at the entrance to Sun Sail. Yes that broke away. I doubt it's all cleared because the road I take to Calliaqua on a daily basis, is still a temporary main road. I hope whosoever is in that vehicle is still alive. (As much as it seems impossible right now for it's been more than 7hrs since)

The rain that poured on our umbrellas today, was nothing compared to the tears that fell from a few hearts, including mine. I feel as though I'm carrying the burden of others, while at the same time being a shoulder to lean on. Life's hard. I find it no better time to talk about something that I've been meaning to share with you, than now.

One day I asked myself: How do I get over someone I've had a crush on for so long?? After much thought I came up with this list of answers (for those of you who try).

  1. Acceptance: You need to accept that you'd always 'love' him/her. That way you'd stop trying to stop 'loving' him/her. If you understand where I'm coming from, that is. Do you realize that when you channel so much energy towards not liking someone they are always on your mind, so you actually like them more or for longer? Get them off your mind!!! Besides if they don't 'love' you as much as you 'love' them then it's a waste of time. Do you think that they are stressing as much as you are?
  2. Don't talk to them as much (if you're still friends and you can speak without giving them a few words that is.....lol...) The less time you talk, the more removed from that person you get. Communication breaks down then interest dies. Don't NOT talk to them. This would lead you to wonder how they're doing. Right then and there THEY ARE ON YOUR MIND!!!!
  3. If you guys are not friends anymore, then something went real wrong, which means if sparks were ever to rekindle then it won't be worth it because one of you, if not both, would only be bringing anger towards the other person. It's not worth it...MOVE ON!!!!
  4. The time you take feeling sorry for yourself you are missing out on BETTER opportunities. Plenty fish ina de sea (almost said 'car back' there....lol)

There are a lot more things that can be done but that all depends on the individual. Lucky for me I can sum up everything in just one word; maturity. It's something that comes not with age but with experience. in my opinion, the more mature teenage hearts get through these little silly things that come in their way of education easier.

I wish a certain individual was reading this. It appears as tho' some people are too caught up with their silly selves to notice the non-verbal communication that takes place, even if they don't know what that is. If a boy talks to a girl in a certain way that she doesn't like and she obviously screws up her face. What does that say??? (Maybe my screw-up face is cute...I don't think so!) Then this other no-manners, out-of-place one trying to lime me off. Some people smart. Honey, if you really needed the help you would've gotten it a long time ago. (He really thinks I'm stupid! Using this age old trick on me) There's a library with books, an Internet with web pages, and lots of Lower 6ers who are actually interested.

Mood: If I'm smiling then what does that mean?

If I had an Ipod, all these songs and more would be on it......:)
