Poem: 'Silent protector'

Live bait walks slowly through the darkness

Why won't anyone get her?

Is it her hair?
Is it her complexion?
Is it because they don't know her?
Non-ideal?
Wrong place?
Wrong time?
Or is she protected by the superior,
Who won't let anything satisfy her mind's desire
Because there's an alternative?
Time sips away and up ahead
Is the shadow of a figure
Who hides underneath the red skin.
Tall, slim and unaware of my presence.
Unafraid, it seems Of what just might be hidden in the darkness.
Could it be anything greater than what the world can't see?
She peers over her sholder every now and again,
But on her face I see no fear

She doesn't even know I'm here.

She doesn't even know that I followed her home,

Up this lonely road,

Just to make sure she was safe.

Maybe the superior sent me.

If I had an Ipod, all these songs and more would be on it......:)
