I am the owner, head chef, every damn thing of a restaurant. The name? Super's delight? Idk buh that doesn't matter now does it?? For the past few years I have had several customers.
The first nibbled on the food and pretended to like it. He had his other meals elsewhere but it was my first customer so I didn't really know what to expect. Don't we all learn from our mistakes at some point in time? Life's experiences is the greatest teacher they say. So I kicked him out and he was never to return again. After all, he didn't really care for his tummy was already full....It's just so unfortunate that he had already progress to the main course.....There was not enough time for dessert....ha!
The following customer eat my food and he did enjoy it. However, he had also enjoyed the food from another restaurant. There was competition and because of this he left my restaurant without dessert. Sad isn't it....dessert is the best part....He kept peeping in from the outside window, and he'd occasionally walk in and say hi. One time he even took desert from me when I wasn't looking....teef!!!
Then there was the most confusing one of all. I really enjoyed his company in the restaurant, for I was alone in there all the time. I cooked him up the nicest food, most of the time. The confusing thing is that I couldn't tell whether he liked it or not. He's the longest customer I've ever had. Sometimes I would call him for a cup of tea and we would have a nice little chat before he goes off to his favourite restaurant. Not mine...duh!!!!!
I later learnt that there were many prospectives that just didn't have the guts to open the door, take a seat and wait their turn. All they did was stare inside from the window occasionally....now all I can say is: "If only I had known." Sometimes some guys would choose to stand and look in when I'm in the back cooking up a storm, when I won't see them at the window........
As I enterd College, business began to improve and there were more customers looking to have at least a cup of tea. I had even closed down for renovations but opened soon after I had done so. I saw more of them outside which was a good sign. I'd invite some of them but I'd later have to kick them out. One was bad behaved. The other was eating toooooo slowly and I really couldn't wait on him to finish the dish so that I could wash it. Oh gosh you know how frustrating that is. Sometimes ah does well wah go home. There was this one. He had been outside for a really long time now and I felt bad for inviting other customers and leaving him there so I called him in. Well finally someone gets the dessert......lol......ha! he wasn't the first. You know I have done cheesecake twice and chocolate chip cookies before that. Mmmmm those were good.....
Business is booming. Can't go wrong with that. My last customer gave me a bit of trouble.. I served him lunch, dinner, more than once and he just wouldn't eat. So I said bye bye to him...Yup I kicked him out and now he's at my window constantly peering inside at this unknown customer who's obviously having a ball....Why waste my raw materials?
I always knew that running a restaurant was hard but never thought that it would be this hard...My present customer confuses me a little bit. I mean, he's a nice one yes and honestly, I haven't had one of those in ages. In addition to that he eats well but there's just one problem. He doesn't want the main course. You know how long I've had that recipe stuck up on the white board in my kitchen waiting for someone to order it??? So exactly what does that mean??? Should I kick him out and invite someone else in.....one who I know is actually going to order that special meal?? Or should I just enjoy your company and cook those simple things for ya?? Truth is. I don't want to do that last one. You should've told me what you wanted from the very beginning; a cup of tea!!!
I think I'm about to open the door and randomly select my next customer. Is things like these that make restaurant owners just let in a few people at a time (although that leads to overcrowding, which leads to everyone wanting to leave.........lol)
Junior Panorama is this afternoon and today is one of ma girlies Bday.....Happy Bday Chic...........
