"Good Morning!!!!"
Somehow I managed to mumble the words 'I'm up.' while trying to cross that border between deep sleep and semi-consciousness. I even opened the louvers and replied to a special 'Good morning'.
It didn't take me long to get down to breakfast but like yesterday morning, it wasn't fast enough to get me a simple thing as a yogurt.....why are there so few yogurts?????!!!!!! I don't really like how they not catering for late-coming-yogurt-lovers like myself ana.....Besides the fact that a little container of bacteria does not accompany my meal, I like breakfast. I get a lot of fruits which makes me a very happy fruitaholic indeed:D
Our first field trip was to the Ministry of Health, Food and Drug division. To our surprise, on our arrival, and to our disappointment of course, they didn't know who we were, and they had not expected us to be there for a field trip so as a result of that they had not planned a tour for us. *happy us* oh my I mean so sad, oh soooo sad.....
"Can we go shopping? Fredrick's street is right there, (under my breath) and luckily I brought my money today. I can't believe they just told us they forgot about us."
I actually got excited when they said we'd go if nothing happens by 10:00am.....but it's not very good to build your hopes up in the end....
Today's field trip to the Ministry of Health reminded me of Pirates and the Caribbean. Remember in the second movie when Elizabeth left Jack to die? Well that can be accurately compared to what I had to go through today. And remember in the third and final movie they all managed to bring Jack back to life? The ride home, well back to Campus, was my little flash of green light. It was interesting in some parts, but it just didn't live up to CYSF standards. Ah never yawn so much in meh life....
I must say tho', I learnt a good bit about manic depression :) so yay me!
The UTT special feature was cancelled! Wonder what that was. Anyways Dr. Peter Corridon spoke to us. He said in a nutshell that 'Stick and Stones may break my bones but Biomedical engineering can mend them'. Yup you guessed right. He's a Biomedical Engineer (never knew that existed) and a lecturer at UTT (University of Trinidad and Tobago). I must say that he really does know how to connect with his audience, and he gets straight to the point. That's how I like it....He sure does remind me a lot of my friend back in SVG. I think it's his height and the shape of his face that are similar.....lol
Immediately after this was my biggest disappointment of the day (I really hate Tuesdays). After listening to two of the four teams debate our topic, I realized that our team stood no chance in advancing to the finals, although I didn't admit this to any of my team mates. It was sort of understood rather than admitted.
Today's debates were much funnier than yesterday's. Falling asleep was the difficulty, unlike yesterday when it was actually staying awake.
After the debates we headed off to this fast food restaurant to get dinner then it was time to do whatever we wanted....that was the only free time we had for the entire eight days so I had to use it wisely...before I move on, dem glass ah juice dey mek fuh giant??!!!! Musse!! LOL! If you see the size ah glass.....I took two sips (I don't drink much at all) and I was done.....I can't even reach half-way a KFC glass ah juice much less to that......yes so we used it to practice for cultural night (you know what I could've been doing with that extra hour??????????) then it was off to the Common Room to lime.....Hey I learnt a new card game tonight...I was the ass in the first round:D....you get to shuffle the pack and share them out....then I moved up to Assistant Ass LOL!
I cannot believe I forgot to mention that there's someone else here with my name. Same exact spelling!!! Right down to the full stop.....lol...cool!! What are the odds in that eh? :D
I made more friends again...I like this...
When we got back to our rooms it was about time we had a girl talk, so I went into to Co's room. (Illegal) I almost got caught!! The host was like "Room 55??" (Yea I left my room door open....oops!) I still can't see why we're not allowed to go into our female friends
rooms...don't see the logics in that....
Nehuz I'm extremely tired..........Wish I had me Mp3!!!!!!!!!!
Somehow it seemed like today was the day of disappointments
